Let me help you get set up with a consultant

Ashlie Robertson LPC, ACMHC, CMHC

Originally from a small agricultural town, Ashlie transitioned to a military spouse, allowing her the opportunity to travel and have new experiences. Travel and continuous change has altered her personal and professional perspective on facing adversities, which has helped her as a therapist. She enjoys activities such as hiking, snow boarding, gardening, sewing, cooking, and listening to books.

Ashlie believes, what works for one person is not necessarily going to be beneficial for another. She does not believe in the "one size fits all approach". Instead, the counseling process should be tailored to the individual, allowing them to achieve a more authentic Self.

She uses a combination of evidence-based treatments, including aspects of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Approach, Eye-Movement-Desensitization-Reprocessing (EMDR), Interpersonal Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Approaches, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Attachment-Focused therapy. Ashlie also offers Ketamine Assisted Therapy.

Ashlie has a strong grasp on crisis intervention, suicidality, anxiety-related disorders, depression, and adverse childhood experiences. Her special areas of interest are postpartum, pregnancy, parenting Issues, infant and grief loss, depression/anxiety, military trauma, trauma from abuse, and PTSD/Stress Management.

Nicole Gaal PsyD

Nicole is an Army brat who transplanted to Colorado Springs in 1994 and originally wondered to the United States from Germany. This led to an appreciation of diverse experiences and meeting people from diverse backgrounds. She started her journey into the world of mental health during the Hayman Fire with the intention of specializing in disaster trauma. As she got deeper into her studies, she became aware of the greater impact trauma creates on a person’s life journey and dedicated her academic career to the study of trauma.

Currently, she has become passionate about women’s experiences. She enjoys working with women across their adult lifespan from transitioning into adulthood, to career, to caregiving, to retirement. Nicole fully acknowledges that trauma, whether it is childhood abuse, domestic violence, or covert abuse, does not discriminate based on gender or community. She works with people from all walks of life and prides herself on meeting them where they are in their own journey. Nicole works with females, males, non-binary, and LGBTQIA+ populations.

Nicole is a single mom of a very active tweenager, so she has no free time. She is not athletic in the slightest and won’t be caught dead on the incline. She describes herself as a geek of all things sci-fi and fantasy, loves walking in the rain, and reading. Her favorite food is bread. She is also fluent in German and sometimes tries to be funny.

Nicole hails from a Humanistic Rogerian perspective and uses several different techniques varying from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gestalt, Solution-Focused, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness CBT, and is Trauma-informed in her approach.
